Try new activities both on land and water!
Welcome to book our activity day in Askersund this summer! Try fatbiking, packrafting and test your balance on a paddleboard. If you want to try out some new things during the summer, this is a good start! During a full day you have the chance to go biking and paddling in and around cosy Askersund.
Start the day on a fatbike and get some attention when you roll along the roads on these extra fat tyres. Fatbikes have tyres almost twice the size of a regular mountainbike and are great if you want to go on paths with some rocks and roots. They work great also on gravel and we will give some suggestions for tours around Askersund. Or maybe just go pleasure biking along the lake and to the outdoor museum where you can say hello to the animals. Maybe some lunch after biking? In Askersund you have several nice places for lunch and “Swedish fika” so that you have energy the whole day!
Then it’s time to try the packraft, an inflatable boat that you paddle like a kayak. They are very easy to paddle and also very stable thanks to the flat bottom. You won’t tip over and you can also go where the water is shallow. Paddle through the harbour and continue for a while along a small stream before heading back.
Finish the day on the SUP-board where you get to test you balance. From the paddleboard you can take volontary – or accidental? – dip in the water, or paddle to a small sandy beach where you can go for a swim. We give some tips about techniques before you go if you haven’t tried stand-up-paddling before. And of course it is also possible to sit on the board and paddle!
Would you like to try our sauna tent after the day? If we have the possibility and the sauna tent is available we can warm up the sauna just on time for your return. Price 300 SEK for 2 persons and then 100 SEK per extra person.

Adult 650 SEK and children up to 14 years 520 SEK.
Bike helmets are included for biking and lifewests during the paddling.
Our activity day is suitable for most ages. We have children bikes for children from around 6 years or 120 cm and bike seats for the smaller ones. We also have lifewests for children all ages. For small children using the bike seat (up to 22 kg) the price is 150 SEK.
