Bring your family on a nature adventure with packraft through the lush green around Askersund! On this tour we focus on the children. With packraft and/or inflatable canoe we move through an exciting and beautiful environment. Although we are near the city of Askersund we pass through an area where the lush green reminds us of the jungle. While we paddle along the river we also search for beaver and if we are lucky we will hear the characteristic sound of the tail against the water when it is diving.
We will follow the river upstreams and then turn and paddle back towards Lake Alsen. At one of the islands we stop and enjoy our Swedish fika – a break with coffee, juice and buns. After the break we can paddle through the harbour of Askersund before we head back to the starting point.

Practical information and reservations
The tour starts in the harbour of Askersund were we prepare the packrafts and/or canoe together. Packrafts are very stable and easy to paddle also for younger children. Paddling on your own as a child is normally highly appreciated and for most children the technic comes very natural. Depending on age, experience and weather it is also possible to attach a rope between the adult’s packraft and the one of the child. Like that, the child can lean back and rest a bit from time to time in case the paddling gets too heavy. It is also possible for the child to paddle canoe or packraft together with an adult.
