About me & Experitur
My name is Ulrika Stenberg and I am the owner and founder of Experitur. I spend my time off out in the nature; fatbiking, hiking and paddling. My inflatable canoe changed my life few years back and still gets to come with me on different adventures. I also enjoy packrafting and kayaking which gives very different experiences.
Experitur was founded in March 2018. I had then travelled around the world, working as a tour guide for many years: Biking trips in Italy, hiking in the Alps and nature tours in Madagascar among other things. I have also worked ten winters in Finnish Lapland, going on snowmobile trips, skiing, snowshoe walking and spending many nights around the camp fire…
Meeting new people and sharing experiences and knowledge is the best thing I know. It is even better if these encounters take place in the beautiful Swedish nature. A bit of history and culture on top of that makes it perfect. I am looking forward to giving tips about my favourite adventures and hopefully you will join me on one of them!

Experitur is Latin and means “experiences”. By renting different kinds of outdoor equipment we want to help you to get new outdoor experiences and create your own adventures! Renting instead of buying is good for the environment and gives you the chance to try new activities while spending less money. It also allows you to travel with less luggage.
Quality and sustainability are both very important for us! We use equipment from some of the best brands on the market, for example tents from Fjällräven & Vaude, bikes from Monark & Silverback, packrafts from Alpacka Raft and kayaks from Seabird. We treat our equipment with care and maintain it regularly so that it will last for long. We have tried out all gear ourselves so you can feel confident that you have good and reliable equipment with you on your tour.
Where to find us
Experitur is located in Askersund at the northern shores of Lake Vättern. It is an area with amazing nature, with the achipelago of Vättern and the big forests of Tiveden just around the corner. Askersund is located also almost in the middle between Stockholm and Gothenburg (Göteborg). The nearest bigger city is Örebro, 50 km to the north.
In Askersund we have our rental place at Strandvägen 4, in the harbour. Here we have daily opening hours from mid June until end of August. At other times you are welcome to contact us on beforehand to make arrangements.
How to travel to Askersund
Askersund can easily be reached by train and bus. Trains are stopping in Hallsberg which is around 2 hours from Stockholm and 2,5 hours from Gothenburg. Just outside the train station in Hallsberg you find the bus stop. Buses to Askersund have number 704 and tickets can be bought with credit card (no cash) directly from the driver. You can also book train and bus tickets at the same time from train company SJ.
